The Arcadia Firefighters' Association is grateful for the support received by the Assistance League of Arcadia. One of their many philanthropic programs, the Assistance League of Arcadia provides teddy bears to the Arcadia Fire Department. The bears are carried on our rescue ambulances and distributed to children during stressful emergency situations. It may seem like a simple gesture, but to a child, the comfort of a teddy bear in extremely difficult scenarios can potentially make a huge difference. We are grateful for their donations through the Hug-A-Bear Program. Funding for this non-profit organization primarily comes from donations and sales through The Bargain Box thrift store located at 64 E. Live Oak Ave. Support our Assistance League and make donations of gently used clothing, household items, luggage, dishes and glassware, linens, bedding, furniture, towels, etc. The Bargain Box is also a great place to find one-of-a-kind items.
